Non-perishable vs. Perishable

Today we picked up a barrel of donated food from a local grocery store, and someone had donated frozen orange juice concentrate. By the time we picked up the barrel, the containers had burst and the juice was fermenting! This is not the first time perishable items have been donated in a Harvesters barrel. We've received tomatoes, lettuce, and milk as well. If you want to donate perishable items, just bring them to our warehouse. Do not put them in barrels at local grocery stores.
